Welcome to the Vagrant Skies repository!

Vagrant Skies, often shortened to VS, is a worldbuilding project created by akaitori. It explores a fictional world where synthetic winged people are common place. While everything depicted here is fictional, Vagrant Skies is 16+ due to the presence of non-sexual nudity, substance abuse, and violence.

This website was created using various tools across the internet, you can find more info in the credits page. An attempt was made to make it be mobile responsive, but I am not a web developer, so there may be oddities here and there.

Vagrant Skies is not a comic or a book series available to be read—yet. The long-term plan is to release a novel series and a set of side stories, but due to a lack of time, this website and my tumblr gallery is the whole extent of Vagrant Skies publications.

VS is set in its own earth-like planet, Verant. While a bit smaller and denser to our real life planet, Verant houses similar geography, flora and fauna to what can be seen on Earth. However, its human history is rather different.

The year is 40:106. At this time of history, the Empire of Tarrukar is a thriving nation, one of the biggest of Verant and while not the richest, still up there as one of the most powerful countries of the world. Tarrukar is most famous for its prowess in genetical engineering, having pioneered the creation of synthetic species, in particular the sapiential Artes.
