Warm, idealistic and fervently curious, Kae is ready to devour the world... in small nibbles. He's quite inexperienced about the world, stumbling around on rusty words and asking things that may seem common sense. He's akin to a toddler in his curiosity; always digging with a barrage of 'why's and 'how's. Despite his somewhat naive disposition, interacting with Kaelan throws light upon his intelligence. His eyes show a wisdom beyond his years, and his priorities come from a place of deep maturity. He's hardworking and patient, open-minded towards change, and shows a kindness beyond what's normal for a Cyclone. He has strong morals, tied to a lifetime devouted to religion. The strength of his beliefs turns him unshakeable, able to brave storms and calm.
Behind his resilience, there aren't many clues about Kaelan's inner feelings. He rarely shows anything that isn't a soft smile or placid calm; not a break of anger, not tears of sorrow. Martial Arts
Kaelan is a devout follower of Celis, and an active practitioner of Emṟaujyá (ehm-rlah-uh-JA). This is a martial art dominated by self-control, strikes, and sweeps; and a pattern of soft, deflective movement that explodes into aggressive, controlled outbursts. After almost two decades of training, Kaelan has become a high-ranked practitioner, experienced with unarmed and staff combat. While this makes him mighty in a fight, it also grants him incredible control over his own body and spacial awareness.
Farming and bushcraft
Having grown up on a farm with limited resources, Kaelan has attained a vast knowledge in growing and finding food. While his knowledge is mostly empirical and sourced from long traditional practices, he has a deep understanding of the natural world. From recognizing the weather hours or days before it hits, to moving swiftly and silently through the woods, hunting prey of all sizes, and recognizing edible forage.
Sewing
Connected to his background, Kaelan learned how to sew his own clothes since he was young. All his clothing flatter him well by default: it's only natural, as they are all tailored to size. Not only does he work with his own patterns, but he's decently good at embroidery and knitting.

Plumage
Upperside is dark, mostly a black that fades into a warm, dark gray. Flight feathers show a gradient into a faded, ash brown, before being tipped again in black. Secondaries present a bold, red pattern, complete with a subtle barring, and red shafts on his primary coverts. The upperside fades into the underparts in a barred gradient of brown, orange and cream, leading into a pure stark white ventral side. Ventral flight feathers show a gradient from orange to black, with bold barring on the remiges. Displays a bold orange on his neck feathers.
Flight style
Despite the great potential from his wing shape, Kaelan isn't good at flying. He still has much to learn before taking advantage of everything the sky has to offer. Due to a lack of training and his wingshape, he isn't able to fly for very long before needing rest, and he's yet to build enough confidence to engage in any sort of acrobatic flight. His landings leave much to desire. He strongly prefers remaining on the ground.
